Mitkof Middle School - Home of the Vikings
8/8/2024
Dear Students, Parents, Guardians, and Community Members,
Welcome to the 2024-2025 school year at Mitkof Middle School and Petersburg high School! I am thrilled to open our doors once again and begin a new chapter of learning, growth, and success. Whether you are returning or joining us for the first time, we are excited to have you as part of our school family.
This year, we have several exciting new features and initiatives that we believe will enrich our students’ educational experience:
Unified Class Schedule: This allows the greater sharing of teachers and extended elective possibilities.
Daily Classes: All classes meet every day. This helps with continuity and academic punctuality.
Visible Learning: Research-based instructional methods to build engagement and student learning.
Our dedicated team of educators and staff has been working tirelessly over the summer to prepare for this school year. This included attending training to develop skills in Visible Learning concepts. We are committed to providing a safe, supportive, and stimulating environment where every student can thrive.
As always, I value the strong partnership we have with our parents, guardians, and community members. Together, we can ensure that our students receive the best possible education and are equipped to meet the challenges of tomorrow.
I encourage you to stay connected with us throughout the year through our website, newsletters or by texting, calling or emailing. I welcome visitors to my office with comments or concerns. We are here to support you and keep you informed of all the exciting developments at Mitkof Middle School and Petersburg High School.
Thank you for entrusting us with the education of your children. I will always work to be worthy of that trust. We look forward to a fantastic school year filled with learning, discovery, and achievement.
Warm regards,
Brad King
